True that's not a claim you could reasonably make.

This is, of course, a sensible idea. But I want two.

You are making your own restrictions.

Why must you live in said area? Because there are loads of well paying contracts and permie jobs on your doorstep.

And you wonder why a broom cupboard costs £500K.

If you want more children move somewhere cheap and take a lower paid job.

You missed the bit where I said we could afford it...

Ok, consider the people who staff the schools, hospitals & police stations in London - where do they live if they want to procreate?

Crap advice. Buy said broom cupboard* till children are about 12. Then sell for 1 million and move outside London to a catchment area of a grammar school. Pocket a few hundred thou for your retirement/uni fees.

*Actually half a mill does get you something reasonable on the outskirts.

Hmm, well I've a 2-bed flat in a desirable area with comfortable mortgage, dating a potential trophy wife (she's fit not fat), have a big rather fast car... however I'm on the bench.

                  Am I a twat?

Yes. But more importantly, are you a happy twat?

                      Council estates/shared ownership/housing associations.
Should have tried harder at school, innit?
