Is still a lovely car, although like nearly all models the facelift looks just a shade less good looking than the original. -

I had a similar choice recently. An XF or bimmer convertible.
Went for the convertible and how glad I did. The smile on my chops when I drive it top down is like having a coathanger stuffed in my gob!
I just cant imagine that driving the XF although it is an excellent car.
As for a 3 year old AM well, you better have deep pockets for the constant repair and service costs. Why do you think the current owner has got out of it at 3 year old!? Its a no brainer Im afraid.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

If I was spending £45k on a new car, I'd look at a fully tricked XF rather than an XK, but that's just personal circumstances.
If it's a choice between those two - I'd pick the Aston, no contest."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

I've got a similar dielema, I need to choose between:
1) 5 year old Mondeo
2) 10 year old BMW 3 series
3) Something else?
Not quite as excting as the OP's.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Mondeo. Cheaper to service. Less "keyable". I'm guessing performance isn't really a big deal?Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostI've got a similar dielema, I need to choose between:

Not really, I need cheap and reliable with 4 doors and a reasonable boot. A focus may suit me better but they are inexplicably more expensive, must be more in demand.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostMondeo. Cheaper to service. Less "keyable".
