I admit thinking, 'Why Piers Morgan? Why not straight to Jeremy Kyle?'Oh, I’m sorry….I seem to be lost. I was looking for the sane side of town. I’d ask you for directions, but I have a feeling you’ve never been there and I’d be wasting my time. -
Sorry but you are big time out of orderOriginally posted by gingerjedi View PostIt must be awful to lose a child and I would not wish it on anyone but...
Is there no depth this twunt won't sink to?? Recounting his 10 day old daughters death which happened 8 years ago in order to appeal to the stupid bleeding heart public is as low as it gets, just a week after we saw Alastair Campbell 'visibly upset' on live TV.
If Cameron tries to trump him with his own personal tradgedy I will explode in fit of rage.
...Or am I being a bit harsh?
. Brown is only human as well. Let's hope it never happens to you, or anyone come to that whoever they are. Idiot.

Like I said I wouldn't wish it on anyone, it's not me that's gone on TV to be interviewed by that slime-ball Piers Morgan of all people just before a general election.
Do you honestly think he would ever agree to be interviewed on a prime time show for any other reason? And don't tell me the PM didn't know what questions would be asked.
You're the only one to disagree, did it tug at your heart strings? Can he count on your vote now he's shown to be human?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

It's not the tragedy per se, but the calculated and doubtless long-planned timing.
edit: I just saw a BBC "Have Your Say" on this, and can't see a single person not basically making the same point (at least on the first page)Last edited by OwlHoot; 12 February 2010, 19:27.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

But some people have quiet dignity and a composure that Brown can only dream of. He is being criticised for using a personal tragedy for advantage, and he should hang his head in shame

Because he's behind in the polls and he's going to lose a general election campaign and he wants the sympathy vote. End of.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostHe had always steadfastly refused to talk about it in any interview or public statement, in all the years since.
Until now.
I wonder why?
I know it sounds callous but yes the question "why now" springs right into my head. They're a shower the lot of them.Comment

Agree with last. Looks like cynical exploitation of the event.

Is that a cynical attempt to gain sympathy votes?
