Ta. I know the backwards sentences are endearing, but they fry my brain. Perhaps the next story could involve a shop with a magical room, a la Mr Ben. I'd like that.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I am renting a flat, had a viewing for the third and last room.

This really nice lady was the lucky new lodger, with bad landlord problems, as he was trying to get into her bed – most literally, and snooping about her things.

She is now staying at her mum’s house until she can move to her new place.

To allow a speedy move I drove over to her mum’s place with the keys so she can get moving.

Only to be greeted by a python in the lounge.

          Chico was not real?

Clearly I am too gullible to post on theses boards.

Had a Python enthusiast at a previous job, convinced that Python is self documenting. Got a design document for a C++ component which was just a Python code listing.

I was doing Jython in a previous gig. All the fun and giggles of Java and Python wrapped into one surreal little bundle of joy.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

                Anyone for D?

I stopped reading when I got this this bit:

The issue: compiler bugs, and plenty of them.
Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

                  WHS

It didn't look to have much life left in it at the time (about 6 years ago) but seems to have struggled on to become an actively supported project. Quite a handy little prototyping langauge.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

It seems to be supported quite strongly for WebSphere to the point that JACL is being deprecated. Started to use it but seeing as I know no Java or Python things went a bit strange
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

You don't need to know Python to know Python, it practically writes itself!
