I still find her cookery programmes annoying.

She only got the gig as her mum in law is Darina Allen (of Ballmaloe Cookery school fame).

I'm not a great cook and some recipes seem like they are not tested at all - Delia and Nigella!!! Or it's just me and my poor skills!
The majority of Delia's are tested but not a lot of Nigella's are, so there have been a lot of reports of it all going a bit Pete Tong.

Though I like the fact that Nigella is not exactly a stick insect and actually likes her food.

Delia just reminds me too much of my old home economics teacher from school

Perhaps I should have read the thread title properly, "Cooking TV recipes " as I was referring to books

I can't watch anyone cooking on the TV.

          Nigella is cookery porn!

I don't give a damn about what she cooks, it's the way she cooks it...

It doesn't matter OC, most people watch the shows/buy the books without trying a single recipe...

I think all of us 'giving it a go' are in the minority.

                    I find Nigella MASSIVELY annoying.

"Mmm (contrived suggestive grin) so let's add some lard to that, oh what the heck, let's add some more. A tablespoon of butter, a knob of goosefat, and voila. Yadda, yadda. Mmm, delish, watch me deep throat this spoon. Simply serve with a side of angioplasty."
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

And you'll note that you rarely see her from the rear.

She's a bit of a BWR (beeps when reversing...)
