I'd take M16 - much more accurate so that you can engage the enemy further away...

You need the FMJs for that...

I am broadly in favour of these North Sea (& others) wind farms, but I have a couple of concerns.

            1) How are we going to sell this power to the mainland when the cables to do so don't exist yet (and how much more will they cost on top of the funds already earmarked)?

            2) If these farms are considerably bigger, will the turbulence/wind effects be much bigger (basically is my sailing going to be ****ed up?).

            3) Are you running anything on the iSeries, if so can I have a job...

The national grid is is currently very dated and inadequate for transmission purposes for a majority of the developments, however the grid is being upgraded as a matter of course anyway see Link

No reports from the sailing fraternity about any problems encountered with navigating existing farms

What material do they use for the underwater power transmission cables? Copper, aluminium, a compound?

If these windmills are anchored to the sea bed, is there any danger that they will pull one of the tectonic plates away, thereby exacerbating any continental drift
and would Britain get permission to enter the USA up the Potomac

                    a) since the global winds tend to go in one direction, all these wind turbines will have the effect of slowing the earth's spin making days longer. Eventually it will stop and one entire side will ice over and the other side turn to desert. We will all have to live on a tiny temperate strip round the edge.

                    b) I cannot remember the correct terminology but the circular force of the drag caused by the wind turbines is converted into a force at 90 degrees, i.e north/south and since prevailing winds all go one way, the wind turbines will start to force the earth to spin top to bottom rather than side to side. This will melt the ice caps and drown us all.

It's madness I tell you. Madness.

Coriolis force. Since angular momentum is conserved, I don't think there will be net change to the rotation of the Earth.
