What qualification training would you do?

If someone came up to you and said they'd pay for some training for you to help you stay off / get off the bench, what would you go for?

I have a specific situation in mind which has strict rules, but feel free to disregard these to answer the question.
    - must be classroom-based (rather than distance learning).
    - must have an exam / practical test at the end that results in a pass/fail (rather than an attendance certificate).
    - ideally should be a qualification of some sort.

Tough one that, given that a certificate doesn't necessarily get you higher up in the pecking order for a job unless you have the experience to go with it.

Having said that, I'd probably go for SAP HR configuration. Or failing that, FI/CO. Combined with a German or Dutch language course

      WHS

Then I'd go work for someone for expenses for a couple of years to get some experience, then I'd find a nice £500 a day gig and coin it in

thats just what we need - more SAP consultants who have a certificate but know nothing.

Still, more work for us to come and fix all the issues they create

Yeah, but all the code comments are in German

Edit: Just to add that if you go on SAP courses with a view to learning it from scratch you will be sadly disappointed with what you get out of it. If you cannot bring real business scenarios with you it's just a series of tea breaks and an opportunity to stock up on free pens.

Has someone come up to you offering to pay? Would they pay for me too?

For me I'd probably go for an Exchange 2010 course, nothing too taxing I know but I can see a demand for people upgrading from 2003 who decided to skip 2007.

If you become a Microsoft Partner (very easy to do) you can get a week Exchange training for £400 quid.

As a PM are any of these any use to you?

Are there any qualifications that pimps have mentioned to you in your search process that they are looking for?

Have the job centre said they'll pay for the course?

Lucky you, as Mr Norr asked the same thing and they said he could only apply for a one off payment of £300, which wouldn't really cover any useful courses that he could do.

So how does someone with no/limited SAP experience gain it?
