Back to work on Monday this week. Client Co is 3 counties away so I try to work from home as much as possible. Monday I drove in, to greet my permie brethren, show my face and throw myself back into things.
No one showed. All working from home.
So Tuesday I elected to work from home, owing to the pending snow. Wise move. I arranged web ex meetings. No one showed. I chased. Not answering telehones. I got an email explaining the snow meant they were working from home and the cell network was jammed, owing to people calling in to work.
Fine. I emailed back and said call me when you can. Nothing. Emailed in the afternoon, nothing. Rang mobile. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing - voicemail. Nothing.
I have no work I can get on with, the IT support desk will not authorise installing software on their laptop to enable me to get on.
So I am schtook at home with nothing to do.
I am able, willing and ready to get on with stuff, and frankly a little bored.
All I can do is invoice them.
Aaaaah life is good. Muppets.
