    Watching the CNN weather report, he focused on snow and cold in the UK, and then said that this exceptionally cold weather was not just in the UK but extended over the entire northern hemisphere.

      I've seen The Day After Tomorrow.

      Doomed!

      Funny thing is, the 4x4's caused this and now they're the only feckers who can get anywhere.

        Apparently up to 6.2 million members of the worldwide Banking Community are likely to die this year as a result of Global Warming.
        On a more serious note, someone's knocked the head off my snowman!!

          Are you sure it wasn't a suicide snowman?

              So is this the "flip". Heard reports of Florida experiencing exceptionally cold conditions, and worries about the rapid advance of the Antartic ice sheet, and parts of the Andes now having excpetionally cold winters 3 in a row apparently ...oh and snow in South Africa in spring!

              So looks like the Southern Hemisphere is also affected by this cold snap.

              Now correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the world only have two hemispheres or am I missing something?

              Thought maybe there was a hemisphere out there I've missed.

                Global warming is a farce used as a damn good excuse to invent new taxes, make us feel guilty about living our lives and try to get us to do things the government wants so that we can "save the planet".

                Here is a snippet of code from the program that proved man made global warning:

                Code:
                ;
                ; Apply a VERY ARTIFICAL correction for decline!!
                ;
                yrloc=[1400,findgen(19)*5.+1904]
                valadj=[0.,0.,0.,0.,0.,-0.1,-0.25,-0.3,0.,-0.1,0.3,0.8,1.2,1.7,2.5,2.6,2.6,
                2.6,2.6,2.6]*0.75 ; fudge factor
                if n_elements(yrloc) ne n_elements(valadj) then message,’Oooops!’
                yearlyadj=interpol(valadj,yrloc,timey)
                Oh look they used random number to make the famous hocky stick graph, isn't that interesting.....

                Interestingly a bunch of Japanese scientists said it was all a load of tosh a few months back as well likening the current models to ancient astrology.

                  And now an error in "the program that proved man made global warning"

                      So far, he has documented 4 bugs that he has found on his weblog. It is impossible to ascertain at this time the effect those bugs would have on calculations performed with temperature records, but Graham-Cummings speculates:

                      "So some information is lost for data being plotted near the 180 degrees line. Admittedly, that's in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (although it does cut through some land mass). But if there are any ocean temperature measurements at the 'edge of the world' then bits of their data isn't being taken into account.

                      I wonder what, if any, impact these three bugs have on the output of this program.

                      PS. There's actually a fourth problem with this code. The number 110.0. It's being used to convert from kilometres to degrees of longitude and latitude. The same number is used for both even though the Earth isn't a perfect sphere.

                      The code is using a value of 39,600 km for the circumference of the Earth, whereas the mean value is actually 40,041 km. But, hey, what's an error of 1% between friends?"

                      I find it interesting that the software used to measure global warming has a 1% error in the Earth's circumference. I find it odd that they didn't adjust the numbers appropriately when converting kilometres to longitude and latitude.
                      Not conclusive then, merely speculation
