I pretty much downed a bottle in a bet. Haven't been able to stomach aniseed type drinks ever since and can't stand fennel.

Thats pretty much identicle to the drink a mate and myself created that night. A bright green pint that was lethal at 200 yards.

Son bought me a miniture souvenir bottle of somthing claiming to be absinth when he came back from a school trip to Prague ( among other places ).

Definately not the genuine article. The only thing I've ever drunk that caused temporary blindness on drinking. Litteraly a bright flash of light in your eyes as it hits you.

I think it was actually 90% ethanol with some green food colouring added.
