I can never understand why people insist on using that de-icer crap.

It rots the windscreen and wiper rubbers and it's ineffective.

A two litre lemonade bottle with warm water out of the tap is much more effective.

And it stops the inside of the window from icing up from your breath.

Hot water direct from a boiling kettle, poured quickly over the windscreen works much better
