Hot water direct from a boiling kettle, poured quickly over the windscreen works much betterOriginally posted by zeitghostI can never understand why people insist on using that de-icer crap.
It rots the windscreen and wiper rubbers and it's ineffective.
A two litre lemonade bottle with warm water out of the tap is much more effective.
And it stops the inside of the window from icing up from your breath.
