Considering the number of geeks replying in this thread I'm shocked its not been mentioned by anyone else, it's a modern Sci-Fi classic.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Oh good, I sky+'d it but wasn't sure if it was worth watching, most films stay on there for about 2 months before being deleted to make room for more films that may or may not get watched.

I'd love to see 'Moon' BTW but we would need a babysitter, if we were to get a babysitter I'd rather go out for a good meal and drinks.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

And that's just the shower scene It is a great film. Quite similar to book, but twisted. Favourite line "They sucked his brains out".

        In no particular order:

        All the Alien Films
        All the Terminator Films
All three Back to the Future
(Even the weakest in the series have their moments)

        All the Matrix Films
(The third one only makes sense if watched immediately after the 2nd ).

        LOTR

        Alien vs Predator
        Predator

        Solaris (Russian version)
AI. Although flawed, it was highly reminiscent of Pohl's "Midas World".
Wall-E (My 14 year old daughter is Eve)
        Terminator - Director's cut.
First Star Wars trilogy, but not the second.
The Thing (I don't know what that is, but it's sure pissed about something). Based on John Campbell's "Who goes there?".
        The Abyss
        Fifth Element
        Twelve Monkeys
        The Hogfather
        Total Recall
        Soylent Green
        V for Vendetta
        Flash Gordon
        Signs

Moon has just been ordered, as has "The Thing"...

Why would you need a baby sitter?

If I were to go with the wife, we have a 2yo.

I could go on my own but I'd have to 'earn' it.

You can buy it on DVD. Why do you need a babysitter?

Ahh, thought it was still on at the cinema... I really do need to get out more.
