Have you seen this version of metropolis?

It's in my collection. I'm a huge fan of Manga in general. Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) and Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies) especially.

Oh good, I sky+'d it [Sunshine] but wasn't sure if it was worth watching, most films stay on there for about 2 months before being deleted to make room for more films that may or may not get watched.

I was SO disappointed with Sunshine... great effects, dramatic back-story, stunning visuals. But absolute utter crap because the story was so so poor.

However, if you liked Event Horizon, you'll like Sunshine.

Me, I hated both.

Considering the number of geeks replying in this thread I'm shocked its not been mentioned by anyone else, it's a modern Sci-Fi classic.

In no particular order:

• Predator - the first one
• Robocop - the first one
• The Thing - the John Carpenter version
• The Thing from Another World - the original 50's movie the John Carpenter version was based on
• Aliens
• Star Wars - the original trilogy
• Starman
• The Matrix
• The Terminator 1 & 2

In all likelihood, I would probably add Moon to the list but need to see it a few more times to confirm.
