These new shiny laptop screens...

SWMBO's laptop has one (a 14" widescreen one, to be precise) and the picture quality is way better than trad TFTs. However, as you suspect, you have to be careful of where the light is coming from, because they do reflect quite badly, even with the brightness turned right up.

I don't have one and feel bitter and disempowered about it. My portable now seems dull and old-fashioned.
