Two episodes spring to mind, one of a ghostly soldier at a railway station, and one with a nun that had no face.

        Spooky.

I couldn't remember any of the episodes until you said that.

I remember the one with the soldier - Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag........
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

          I preferred version 1!

It was a deeply strange program. Just goes to show what you can do with low budgets, cheap sets and a good script.

Actually I wonder if the nun one was a different programme. Armchair Thriller or something like that.

I see someone has put Sapphire and Steel onto youtube. I may have to have a look, and very probably end up ruining my memory of them.

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits.
