      I think the 1966 episode of the Saint I saw at the weekend gave them the idea of The Persuaders - Roger Moore teaming up with a very rich Yank.

          Having spent the first 2/3 of the 80s abroad I am absolutely lousy in pub quizzes relating to that era. The worst instance is where you absolutely know that song XYZ was a massive hit in Europe in 1982, but it didn't make it into the UK charts until a few years later.
