    Laugh OUT LOUD

A distraught "wife" who has been through the wringer with a very ill man is on here defending her use of emoticons.

    One question:

Are things really that quiet at RBS SG
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

I`m extremely suspicious also . Why would the real wife post such a thread on a board that they have nothing to do with? it doesn`t quite ring true. If they are for real, my advice would be to now go back to your life not continue to post, you don`t belong here and shouldn`t really be posting about ex-hubby to complete strangers.

Hmmm - now I'm starting to have doubts.

Especially after searching for Craig in the ARRSEPedia.

If you want to have a go at dodgy CVs answer that one!
Ok. Craig was taken on on an informal basis at first, after being introduced to the Regiment in November. He had his own uniform, and when a set of medicals needed doing he was asked to perform them in January. Usually this is performed by civilian doctors when there isn't one on staff, so there was no bother asking Craig as a doctor to do it. He offered to do them for free as part of getting his hand in again after a period of not practising since leaving the regular Army. In retrospect this also avoided him having to sign paperwork which he probably knew would tie him to an allegation of fraud should this ever come out.

In the meantime he filled in all the forms, including stating that at the time of completing his degree he trained under the name of 'Smith' due to family problems. He never handed in the forms but I found them in the flat when I moved the rest of my belongings out. I think he knew he couldn't find a way round it.

With a few entry and staff medicals now under his belt, he was invited along to Regimental Officer Adventure Training weekends and to provide medical cover for a Sqn exercise in Thetford Forest. He was issued a weapon for this, but under someone else's name. This was the exercise where a girl announced she was 17 weeks pregnant, and Craig cleared her to carry on training and she subsequently fell ill.

I don't know why the relevant checks weren't done. As far as I'm aware it's only a matter of either a phone call to manning and records in Glasgow or typing a name/service number in to a computer. But he was affable and charming and everybody just thought the paperwork was in hand somewhere in the chain. Meanwhile he seemed to play the part, rusty and with self-deprecating humour, and not even the seasoned professionals who had been in the Army for decades thought to doubt him. After all, he wasn't claiming to be a top gun pilot, just a doctor who had recently left the Army.

              Bollocks.

If he'd been a Royal Marine Reservist all be it a "mad" medic, he wouldn't be bloody rusty.

I wonder why we haven't had reporters leaping all over this forum. He was an IT Contractor after all...

                Because I was asked.

And there have been. I won't quote the companies I know he's lied to work for on here. He might be mad but I don't know how good he is at what he claims to do or has done for them.

All I wanted was to understand why he can still thrive in the finance contracting world after conning so many people. I think from some answers I do a bit now, so cheers. As for not being welcome here, that's fine too.

This site has more than its fair share of people who are brave and offensive, courtesy of their anonymity. Don't worry about them.
