I keep getting asked if I have a club card (esecially in Tesco) and occasionally I ask them what I'm missing out on, but their answer has always left me feeling I couldn't be arsed with them. A bit like petrol coupons and other money saving offers. And for that reason I'm out. But no doubt much of what the OP said will come to pass, if it hasn't already. Ditto for payment cards, except without a RFID chip, yet.
Hmm wonder what sort of database they have there to store all their data and how is it structured, is it a data warehouse, what BI technology do they use, how come it seems to be efficient when the vast majority of data warehousing solutions I've ever seen have been really quite carp....... oops did I type that out loud ??
Oh yes terrible storing all that info on folk etc etc..
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

If you don't want to save money then ClubCard doesn't have much to offer you. For everyone else it's between 1-4% cash back on purchases in stores, garages and on other Tesco services (internet, insurance, etc). Not to mention the odd bargain... it's been known for special offers to award 300 points (worth £3-12) for items costing £2.99 for example. You can actually make a profit on these deals if you get in before the masses discover and buy all the stock.
