Next contractor that I call I will say:

"Hello, this is DA from DA Ltd calling. During the night god came to me and asked me to call you and request a couple of references from you" If the contractor refuses then I can tell him that god told me to let him know that if he did not provide the information then hell and damnation would find their way to him pretty sharpish. Having divine authority behind me I wont even need to pretend that I actually have a job for him.

The great thing about this "get god" business is that you cant really argue with it.

Though Chico I can foresee one small problem. What if the contractor turns round to me and asks me why god (being all powerful and all that) doesnt just give me as many references as I pray for himself?
