You've totally ignored the issue of the position of trust this teacher has abused. This is one of the worst things you can do as a teacher and she's been justly punished.

I was watching CSI the other day and, apparently, in Nevada the legal age for sex is 18 when you're in a position of responsibility over the minor. Seems sensible to me.

Way I see it, you either are for/against teacher/pupil relationships, regardless of which is which gender wise/sexual preference or you are a hypocrite that needs to get out of middle ages

Find this story rather sad, not because of what happened, not fact that teacher was found guilty but more because every single article I have seen on it has had a heading that contains either "gay" or "lesbian". Pretty much tells me the issue here as far as the public is concerned is it was two women having sex, something for the moralistic crowd to get upset about and for the rest to get their sexual jollies from

The issue of adult/teacher relations with pupils is only a side item
