How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I've gotta say that time is not on our side for our December FTSE puts.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostSo is there any chance of the crash happening this week?
On the other hand, there is a triple-top on the 4hr Dow Jones Chart. It is looking very bearish.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

Total irrelevance - chart pattens, earnings, etc are not the place to look for indications of what is happening. Equities, Gold, Oil and the other commodities are just bystanders at the moment.Originally posted by SantaClaus View PostI've gotta say that time is not on our side for our December FTSE puts.

Rubbish! Charts are the current moment, they reflect every emotion in the market. Fundamentals lag and are of no use for a day trader like myself.Originally posted by HairyArsedBloke View PostTotal irrelevance - chart pattens, earnings, etc are not the place to look for indications of what is happening.
A triple top is just that, a rejection of price at a level 3 times. Does that level have no relevance???
Earnings can be tarted up, they are of no relevance to me either.
The banks are doing so well, how can that be? Oh yes, taxpayers money is being used to prop up the balance sheets.
Can anyone makes sense of whether quantitive easing is good or bad for a currency??? What if every country is doing itOriginally posted by HairyArsedBloke View PostEquities, Gold, Oil and the other commodities are just bystanders at the moment.

Exchange rates: strong $ has usually meant weak equities as investors go into risk aversion. So yes, I am hoping for $ to bounce at some point.Last edited by SantaClaus; 27 October 2009, 08:20.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -
