Well after only three years the same builder began developing that area. And as builders do (in Canada) started without a planning permission - they've got the cities by the balls over there.

Councils are crap!

It's the same here - builders, supermarkets etc employ planning consultants to ensure there's no chance of their plans being turned down. in the extremely unlikely event of a plan being refused they just keep resubmitting until it gets the ok: our planning laws are a joke and awaste of money

My neighbour behind me has some massive trees which overhang my garden, and my neighbours...and cause my Sky signal no end of problems. Does this mean I can complain to the Council and have his house broken into as well! Woo Hoo.

I have CCTV, when I enquired via the local councillor it turned out that two of the six were college trainees, one locksmith and three from health and safety. The problem is that although the council have the weight of the law on their side. I could take civil action for damages but as the council has unlimited funds to defend a case I would need at lease £10k up front to start the ball rolling.

I wouldn't say unlimited. Particularily now. I suggest a news paper article - causes council's no end of embarrasement. A strong word with the chief exec. and a trott to the local MP's office (that's what they're there for ain't it?). I wouldn't tolerate it!

Once some kids trespassed and swung on a branch that broke. The family threatened to sue.

Another time community support officer ... broke into to my house with a team of six people and changed the locks. Their excuse was that it was an emergency and they needed access to the back garden.

Six months latter a new neighbour arrived (sublet Polish) and when I returned home all the trees in my garden were cut down... CCTV showed the new Polish neighbour cutting down the trees.

Have to ask... where the hell do you live? Are you on the same street as Wilmslow? The fact you have CCTV says a lot in itself...

Beware of “no win no fee” If you loose a case although you do not pay your legal costs the court will order you to pay the opposition’s costs.

Friday evening I lopped some of a tree at the front of my house as requested by neighbour – Saturday morning she beats my door down insisting I immediately cleared up the mess left behind. Yep, three leaves and two twigs that must have got blown into the drive.

She then waffles on about the back garden trees stating she will remove the drainpipe from my house that overhangs into their drive if I do not remove all branches that are into their air space, despite this not being in anyone way, just doing what trees do. I was going to sort, but, not after this encounter!

She is clearly bonkers – reported the threat of damaging my house to the police.

Where can I get a hit man in Cheshire??

Yes, and engage them before ANY legal paperwork gets filed. As soon as the first legal letter is sent from your solicitor if it is not through them, you are nackered.
