    There is more than 1 Std dev and as pointed out a Geometric mean so maybe he wasn't being dumb

      Apparently, in the US branch, they've 24 different rounding rules...
      VB by default uses bankers rounding, which is annoying and catches a few people out (don't know if this has changed for VB.net).
