Only had one call, from an agent saying - basically - that my 20+ years computer contracting experience is useless in the current market as the last two years of it weren't Investment Banking (apparently Retail Banking - which the last two years was was - isn't good enough; my previous 5 years IB was in the '90s, so that also isn't good enough, as computers were powered by steam in those days...)
Still, he said I had a "nice" cv and he liked the "layout". Maybe I should be looking for a job as an office secretary instead!
I think sending a CV in the post is more professional than spamming people on Linkedin.
Oooh good idea. Now I think I, along with hundres of other CUK'ers will do the same. Meaning these IT decision makers wil regularly get 100's of unsolicited CVs through the post.
Nada, zilch, sod all. Haven't even had a fishing call from an agent in weeks. Can't even get jobserve in Bangalore, it sends me here http://www.indiajobsit.com/en/index.asp and much cheapness is the order of the day.
Only places I see hiring at the moment are games studios.
