Noddy degree (Media Studies, Quantity Surveying etc) from proper Uni

The chap next door to me is a degree qualified QS, with 25 years experience with a couple of major construction companies.
I hope he finds a new job soon, he's been unemployed since March, and has taken up DIY (day after day drilling and hammering)
I have a couple, and they always seemed pretty pointless to me, they certainly never did me any good money-wise.
My daughter is now doing one to become a paramedic, THAT seems to be worthwhile and worthy of some bragging rights

Rather tediously, my CEI Part II is not recognized as a Degree as such by the esteemed edjumakashunal establishment where I while away my days...
And should I be so foolish as to want to actually lecture, then I'd require a MSc as a very min...
We won't go into the qualification grade inflation here though... I'm sure my A levels were tougher than some of the stuff they get served up as degree level these days...
That's the way of the academic world. Even primary school teachers get paid more if they have postgrad qualifications.
