Only for a short while and I can ignore that or hit the CD button in the car.

I don't really mind that they are a very average band, craved by the semi literate who see their crappy lyrics as a profound statement or that their pseudo Beatles mince happened to be the 'sound of the 90s' but the throbber acts like we should go into a period of mourning over this news. Frankly it registers at the same level as Peter and Jordan splitting up.

WHS and I feel much the same about U2 for that matter, never liked their stuff much either.

To be fair they have always been very open about The Beatles being one of their biggest influences. At least they didn't directly rip Beatles riffs as The Jam famously did with "Start !".

If we're going there, I'm not a massive fan but the new album sounds much more energetic IMO.

So, Oasis not hugely popular here then Actually quite surprised, thought a 'real' (guitars, not manuafactured) band would fare well amongst CUK types.
