Much as I applaud you for doing the right thing, I assume that it was a gray? It may be a forlorn hope but more action needs to be taken to stop them from intruding upon red squirrel territory. Grays carry a pox that is lethal to reds. And reds are not only less destructive, they're cuter by a mile.
