Biggs killed nobody. This guy was convicted of killing 270. Now the stupid Scots will have to release all criminals on compassionate grounds or face having to pay compensation for unfair treatment. The precedent has now been set. Scots should be put down at birth.

Not personally, but he was involved in a crime where someone died.

However, Biggs had served the minimum portion of his sentance.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't prisoners get automatic release after serving the punishment part of their sentence in England?

I believe it is something like a third or more off the sentence for good behaviour?

This was a political decision, not a compassionate one....
