3½ hours. Longest interview I've had in years.

I think I owe everyone who wished me luck an apology.

I was going to do a post before I left saying "I'll ony use the luck I need and leave the rest for other benchees".

I slipped up and accidentally used all of it. Sorry. There's none left for anyone else.

          I think the tie helped.

You see, your main man, the big boss, the geezer doing the selection...

          ... is ex-RN.

I am kidding, of course. The tie was irrelevant.

It went very well indeed. If he hadn't a home to go to, I think we'd have headed off for the pub.

Talking of drinks, I'm drinking Contractor's Pop at the moment, BTW. The ole' pinkaholic bubbly.

If what he said is right, once I've read, checked, had re-written the contract, I think I start on Wednesday.

(With hindsight, I think it was the tie.)

And what to do about already having started the process of moving to the Midlands? Hah! It's ...

... and I've never been able to do this before ...

... it is 4 days a week working from home.

I'll only need to get washed and dressed ... ONE DAY A WEEK!

So does this mean you got the job then? Contract offered?
