Having said that, may look into hacking websites - not my skillset, but seems quite interesting. May achieve fame and notoriety that way!

This sounds crappy dude. How did it get to this? Can you PM me? I wonder if a few CV tweaks may help?

Try going to a networking breakfast, gets you out of the house and my drum up work. Worst case you can find out what's going on in your area. For example, there is a seminar on "Making contacts that count through linked in". Sounds exciting.
