It's work, therefore I assume it's going to be dull.
I am getting paid, so I will put up with virtually anything your standard office can chuck at me.
I am temporary, which is very comforting if it turns out worse than normal.
If you are lucky, you end up with some people who are ok and can have half a laugh with and eye candy always helps (current location, 3 straight blokes, 17 women, most under 30)...Comment

Search the company name
See if any of your ex collegues or contacts have worked for the company then phone or email him/her.
If not send a private message to one of the ex employees of the company
to ask their opinion.
You can also judge the company by how long contractors have stayed with
