Best club - very close between Mobile Home in Sydney (Nye version of an actual club), Coogee beach Palace (legendary Sunday sessions) and one I went to in Moscow that was probably more a brothel than a club.
Best bar - too many to choose from.

What/where is the best bar or club you've ever been to?
A pub/club on the outskirts of Joburg - forget the name, but it was most excellent, balcony outside, run-down decor inside, great music, good beer, good company, perfect weather and free pizza.

Best Club: Hacienda in Manchester, Bugged Out at Cream in Liverpool or Fabric in London (haven't been clubbing in years so no idea what they are like now).
I too could list quite a few exotic venues but I'd have to settle for the Red Lion at Kilmington (near Stourhead, Wilts) for its great beer, game pie and rustic charm.
