It depends on my mood.
Sometimes I think there is nowhere better than the village pub in the part of the west-country that I grew up in.
If you want exotic and sophisticated then either Harry's Bar on Boat Quay in Singapore, or if it is a nice day there is a roof bar in the Park Hyatt hotel in Toronto that I could waste my entire life away in.
If I am meeting anyone in central London then I like the Red Lion in Duke of York Street because one of my relatives used to own it. It wasn't a close enough relative for me to get any cash out of that sale though.
As for clubs - I did used to like going to Turnmills.
I also liked the one that was in those rundown sheds north of Kings Cross station on a Saturday night. It used to turn into "The Church" on Sunday morning when all the clubbers had gone. "Freedom" I think it was called. That was a few years ago.Comment

Back home in the States there this place called John Bull's Great British Blowout. Not so much a bar, more of a diner - and the waiters dress up as famous British people past and present. Last time was there i got my 3000 cal gut busting cheese burger served me by Mrs T herself. Frikkin gotta love the place.Comment

NY for me was APT and 60 Thoms but they're both up their own @rse now I believe - This was back in 03
Milkbar in hamburg just for the atmosphere when the owner is in form.
Closer to home was always Floyds Cafe in Cardiff but I'm not allowed to go there anymore as Mrs PL has issues with the owners. Besides it's not as fun anymore.
The roof of the Camel Bar in Sharm but mostly cos it means I'm on holiday and diving today/tomorrowComment
