I was about to relate one of my previous jobs (working in a "sausage factory") when I saw the thread title. Didn't last long - very few did. A bit of a seasonal job too.Speaking gibberish on internet talkboards since last Michaelmas. Plus here on TwitterComment

OK, it's in white text in case anyone wants to save the fun, highlight below...Originally posted by Cliphead View PostHow's about a precis?
Pair buy a sausage factory in a real rough part of London. Previous owner part-converted it, and tried for 4 years to sell it before they stepped in at the very height of the boom and payed ~£1m. It's absolutely huge, 5000sq feet, but in between boarded up shops etc. They initially budget 250k, which shot to ~£600k when they wanted to spend £30k+ on bathrooms and install a cinema and salt-water spa the size of a swimming pool.
It ended with them dumping their plan and turning it into flats, projected to lose up to half a million if they could sell.

The reason I liked it was cos I am a loser and recognised the (odd and muscular) woman from an episode of Come Dine With Me.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
