Still not in the same league as the Iran-Iraq war or Saddam's reign...

The former led to around 2,000,000 deaths, with around 100,000 Kurds killed by the Iraqui's....

And so the invaders wanted to be bogged down in Iraq for years to come did they? Yeah lets follow that through. Coalition invade Iraq. Coalition topple Saddam. Coalition setup UN sponsored democratic process. Sovereignity passes to Iraqi interim government. Interim government have the power to ask coalition at anytime. Coalition want to leave. Insurgents rear ugly head. Coalition cannot leave until security improves. Hmmm who is at fault? UN Security council for passing Resolution 1441 authorising serious consequences if Saddam failed to comply, The Coalition for having the balls to get rid of an evil dictator (who by the way has killed more muslims than anyone in history) or those insurgents who by their actions are achieving the exact thing they profess not to want (coalition troops staying longer in Iraq.) Lets see more tree huggers logic in action.

What exactly is/was the aim of the war? And what are its consequences?
I'm not sure about the answer to the first question. The answer to the second is civil war and continued instability in the region. Samuel Huntingdon read this clearly in the early 90s.

Easy. God has a hard on for Marines, because we kill everything we see. He plays His games, we play ours. To show our appreciation for so much power, we keep heaven packed with fresh souls. God was here before the marine corps, so you can give your heart to Jesus, but your ass belongs to the corps!

What UN security council resolutions are you refering to ?

The war was vetoed by the UN security council so I would be fascinated to know.

Coalition setup UN sponsored democratic process.

Or is this yet another lie ?

Time and time again when the atheist tree huggers lose another argument they resort to insults, abuse, name calling anything to make them feel better after their illogical worldview has once again been exposed for the sham that it is.
