I must admit, Mr C complains that I keep him awake of a weekend because he's used to 'sleeping on his own again'...

Did it once and it was instrumental in ending a pointless marriage so on balance was a good thing. Don't plan on doing it again (but didn't plan it first time) currently feel I have too much to lose. The is a very high coefficient of flange at current gig mind you

            b) no gig will ever again make me spend another night away from my wife. Either the money covers her accommodation too, or I don't take the gig. I didn't get married to live in some firkin hotel room on my own.
I'd go along with b) except...

            1. She doesn't want to end up somewhere where she doesn't know anyone.
            2. It gets expensive if you have to bring the kids along as well, (during the holidays when they're not a boarding school, of course ).

This is shy I like being a single guy. If a decent contract comes up I don't have to think about the Mrs or little Johnny when I think about taking it. Makes the decision so much easier.

Yeah, but I got to the point where I wanted to live in my own home, with access to my own kitchen and decent restaurants nearby, not some grotty hotel or B&B with no view, no decent sounds etc.

not sure if I could do it I was staying away on a long term basis (I would nto be interested in having an affair when all you really want is sex)

however an illicit one night encounter in a Holiday Inn overlooking the M4 with a middle aged slightly saggy sales lady is much more exciting.

                    probably
