Oh Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am about to agree with CyberTwat.

Firstly, I know it is only a couple of people and it is media hype (it was first reported about MRSA and now repeated with Swine Flu).

For once (for me) this is not an anti Islam rant either. Islam does not ban the touching of alcohol, only the using of stimulants, but some devout muslims will not touch it at all because consumption is prohibited. That is their choice to make.

When there are rules, there are rules. They are there for a reason.
If you can not comply with the rules for whatever reason then you should not be in the place, or doing the thing where the rules apply.

If you cant use the hand wash then get out of the hospital.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

    Smith and Wesson.

Step back, have a think and adjust my own own attitude from time to time

You get threadworm by touching a surface someone with threadworm touched. The obvious places are anywhere lots of people share space... school, work, pub, bus/train. Since toilets are a prime place for direct transfer bum->finger->surface, they are the most likely source... could be any communal toilet though.
