Glad I'm not the only one.

There always seems to be a two-week period after starting applying before anything much happens, the recruitment equivalent of turning an oil tanker (and after starting a contract there's a corresponding two or three week lag before one can persuade the pimps to *stop* calling!)

Shortest bench period: 0 days (left one contract friday, started next monday - If only they were all as seamless)

    Longest: 3 months in 2002

      2 months (years back...)

An out-of date carton of orange juice and a bottle of flat coke!

      We can't do a house-warming on that!

Hang about, do I smell a party staring?

Get me a bit squiffy and I'll go over and chat him up.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

5 months out of mainstream contract..

Although I had some consultancy work in-between all that, and also walked out of a new contract 2 months into bench time on day #1 for being mis-sold the job by the client/agency (sorry I'm there to do the job I came for, not spend a week inputting data because you're too fat and lazy to do your own work).

So technically 3 months I guess...
