I'm based in the north east as a SQL dba. Nothing up here now so I've given up looking localy. Even Leeds and North Yorkshire is dead. Trying to stay out of London if possible.

I know you're a DBA but do you lower yourself to do SQL dev work?
I'm being literally pestered on a near hourly basis by agents looking for a SQL Server developers.

He was having problems with the numpties installing broadband at his new place. I suspect it's still not working, and I also suspect RC may have a rant stored up for his return.

Only another 3 days until the engineer comes to look at the existing phone line and say "But you've already got one, why did they send me?" or some such stupidity. Then a week after that they turn on the broadband, supposedly.

Not being online curtails gig-seeking somewhat.

However, Mrs RC is at a conference; I'm here too using the venue's 'net connection. So I'm sat here at the room's dressing table, dressed (had to get dressed to get breakfast) and hammering Jobserve like a mad thing.
