Chase the elephant II
There's a gig I went for the other day. It is at an old permie employer and in a location I've never lived in but fancy. The agent wanted a CV rewrite and I HATE doing them. The deadline was today. I've been ignoring it.
So I got up this morning and started gig hunting. I knew I had this CV to do. So I looked at it and played with my Firefox Addons.
And I looked at the CV and drivelled on here.
And I looked at the CV and read some email.
And I went for a dump and remembered the elephant dream and realised I had been chasing bunnies all morning.
So I sat down and followed the elephant.
CV and letter, tailored for the role just beautifully, gone and confirmation received from the agent that it will go forward.
At some point that elephant will stop and turn and we'll confront each other face-to-face and see what happens. But that's another day.
Don't try and chase all the deer at once. I doesn't work unless you want an old, diseased one.
Don't chase the bunnies. They are a distraction and won't feed the family.
Identify your elephant. Walk towards it, concentrate on its arse and every time you get within reach, prod it with your spear. Eventually you'll be eating elephant burgers and wondering if they'll ever end.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

I'm a fully qualified dream analyser type bod.
I have read your dream story, and I think it raises a few interesting points.

2. Complete Nutter
3. Woop woop

RC, good luck with the elephant.
Unfortunately the odd rabbit or diseased deer is sometimes needed to ensure that the sandwich bag never empties.
