On the other hand, obviously you can't yet assume the best either. What a bummer for the weekend. Oh well, f*** 'em. What more can you do now until next week?Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

RC, it's probably nothing bad, I've been waiting on a company in the Midlands, they seem to love to take their time.
It's taken me 4 weeks to get from e-mail to start date and I've still no paper work although I've seen their normal conditions.Comment

Got offered my last gig on the same day as the interview. Then had to wait TWO weeks for the paperwork. Relax dude. All will be ok.Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

Agents are playing silly buggers at the moment, I had an email from Hays this evening with 5 attachments that needed my attention before I can start my new gig with BT.
The strange thing is I've not had any contact from Hays in 6 years and don't know anything about a BT gig???Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

At 8pm we popped out the front to pick up the fallen apples (now the wasps have had their fill) and the Missus pulled the front door shut behind her.
The locksmith got us back in about ten minutes ago.

Fill it in, send it off, and turn up. You might get to invoice for a few day's pay out of it!
(From what I know of BT, they won't notice until renewal time - then blame it on Tech Mahindra)My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

I did some work for BT through Hays 6 years ago so I'm starting to think there may be some sort of 'ghost worker' scam going on but no-one told the secretary to keep me out of it.Science isn't about why, it's about why not.
