Shush! Don't put ideas in the mod's heads!

(And anyway, AtW wouldn't be able to afford to run all his fembots.)
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

Forget about it and enjoy Christmas. Hector's probably too busy getting pissed up and trying to pull his secretary at the moment to worry about your tax.

It was a 6 a.m. start. I'm focussed and I'm driven today. My records are up to date, I scanned my email for anything interesting, now I'm hitting the job boards.

I've had a cup of tea and taken the bread out of the bread maker.

I've got ThunderBird to version 3 so it indexes emails so I can search for and find stuff while I'm actually on the phone.

        Today I'm feeling lucky.

How are you managing to get £41.87/day ? What else are you claiming for apart from JSA ?

Now you ask, I realise I'm not really on that much per day. I fiddled the figures.

I followed the advice in this thread to get Council Tax Benefit and Housing Benefit.

I have added together the Council Tax Benefit (which is a discount rather than a payment), the 25% discount on Council Tax 'cos my wife's in college full time, the Housing Benefit and the JobSeeker's Allowance.

I then divided 14 days' worth of that by 10 to pretend it is what I'm being "paid".

So it isn't really £41.87 per day, but if I tell myself it is it sounds better than the reality.

Up at 6, cup of tea, everything rebooted and ready to go. And you know what they say:

"It's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird!"

                      RC

I've noticed your posts since joining up a few months ago and I just wanted to say all the best with the job hunting.

I honestly believe when looking for a role it's a question of timing, right place; right time...

Due to that I to am a firm believer of getting yourself out there in any way possible. Phoning\emailing agents, friends, old work colleuges to see if anything is coming up. Keep it up.

If you get yourself out there as much as possible you'll be in the right place more often than not

                      Cheers,
