Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Have anotherHow did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

1 face-to-face 'interview' that was just free consultancy.
1 telephone interview - "Not got experience" feedback (which defied belief) and I think it was free consultancy.
1 face-to-face interview that was then filled internally (which I think they intended all along).
1 telephone interview for a sales role (I wish they'd said that up beforehand).
1 telephone interview - outcome unknown as agency never returned calls.
1 face-to-face which went horribly wrong yet...
I start on Monday.- Project management.
- My niche field (they never found a 2nd person to interview).
- Paying 50% MORE than I was seeking. (85% of the highest rate I have been on.)
- Probably over a year's work.
- Agency is paying weekly.
(And the really scary bit? The money was finally going to run out completely 2nd week in Feb. I was going to phone my Dad this weekend and - well, I don't really know what I was going to say. All far too close for comfort.)
A highly polished, indoor, top quality position on the bench (with cushions and beer-chiller thrown in) will be appearing on eBay shortly. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment
