Don't know what the reason was but I was reading this thread and the words to an old song came into my head.
I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes
The love that's all around me
And so the feeling grows
It's written on the wind
It's everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
You know I love you, I always will
My mind's made up by the way that I feel
There's no beginning, there'll be no end
'Cause on my love you can depend
I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed
I cannot get to thinking
Of all the things you said
You gave your promise to me and I gave mine to you
I need someone beside me in everything I do
You know I love you, I always will
My mind's made up by the way that I feel
There's no beginning, there'll be no end
'Cause on my love you can depend
I got to keep it moving
It's written in the wind
Oh everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it,
Come on and let it,
Come on and let it,
Come on and let it showInsanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Chico I don't think you'll have too many disagreeing with you over the merits and successes of latterday Christianity.
What most of us are saying, at least me anyway, is keep it (and other religions) well away from the political establishment.
If you bring the Church back into Parliament and afford it the power to author and co author legislation, you will witness the rapid undoing of what you profess to be the virtues of Christian democracy.
Again, it is Christianity's proven and demonstrated willingness to shy away from political power, that has given it its tolerant, gentle and non interfering existance.
And when I outline those virtues of Christianity, I'm not affording those virtues to every person who claims to be Christian.Comment

Hahaaaa .... that was funny. Mordac as has been pointed out many times what most people believe (the self styled atheists on this board) and what is fact is not necessarily the same thing. I shall leave you with the words of CS Lewis......"I gave in, and admitted that God was God."
