    Er. Fook.

Decided to get my self off the bench a month or so ago so applied to current client co for a permie job - idea was to do it till Christmas then leave for my Africa trip. I didn't get it - the agy never got back to me.

Now 3 weeks later I'm contracting there - I'll give you one guess who my desk is next to. Yep. The permie manager that didn't hire me, except I'm now doing a more "senior" role (if such a thing exists as a contractor as I don't sit in the management hierarchy).

    This should be fun

But what are the odds he even remembers you from the other 200 applicants? Unless you mention it of course (and tell him you're earning more than him)

        So...

The Permie manager was correct in turning you down - over qualified...

You are in a more senior role...

        Well Done!!

Update (in a slightly wilmslow-esque style).

The new permie(s) are now sitting on the same desk group as me The permie manager hasn't told him about the interivews I had....this will be fun

So it's not just me that's done that, then? (All the bolts except one from where the seat is held on.)
