    TIA

I've got a T-mob one with the same problems...

My mates got a Vodaphone one with the same problems.

I think that the raise the expectation of "broadband on the move" only to let you down with the product!

Had a huge issue with a vodafone shop last year. I asked for an upgrade to my 3G dongle and the contract to be extended (therefore keeping thesame account/number). So they sorted me out, told me to take the SIM out of my 3G PCMIA card and put it in the new USB device, they also lowered the price to £15 a month which was the new going rate at that time.
When the original contract was due to expire guess what happened? Yes it stopped working. Called Vod UK who were no help other than getting telno of shop for me. I called the shop and spoke to a numpty. Because I desperately needed access (it`s business mobile internet) they agreed to get my SIM working again. So they enabled the account and CANCELED the new account that had been mistakenly setup. However, I later found out that they then charged me £520 quid for cancelling my contract (that I didn`t have, I was told old contract was extended). Even worse they started charging £30 quid again a month instead of £15. I called them before they took the money, they apologised for mistake, told me the £520 would be cancelled before it was taken from bank. About 2 weeks later £520 was taken from account.............

That`s not all of it either, there were cockups all the way and it took me long while to get sorted. Vod UK took an interest (after I started going ape) it was all finally sorted and letter of apology received.

Still think Vod provide the best service though

I suspect the OP asked for something other than the standard chavtastic PAYG package, which 99% of the population go for.

This in turn caused a mild state of panic in the shop assistant, since :

          a) He's probably neverhad training in how to process a contract service.
          b) There's lots of forms to fill in, checks to be made, etc.
          c) There's not much profit in it.

Had you asked in your best Ali G voice "Me lookin' 4 a fone, sumfing smart innit, wiv bling, pay as yer go, like. Gotta look wicked", I guarantee that you'd have had all the assistants fawning over you.

Bottom line : You are not their demographic market. They don't want or need your business.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
