So where is the campaign to move our accounts away from Lloyds?
Do you really think it's funny to say that someone deserves to lose their job?
You're not pointing out anything, you're gloating over others misfortune. I was going to say "I hope you don't lose your livelyhood" but you know something I wouldn't give a sh!t if you did.
No I'm not gloating. My history of posting on here has consistently shown that I think the powers that be have no long-term strategy for the future of this country. Making IT an unattractive and insecure career is not in the long term interests of the country.
But I'm afraid I'm right. If contractors (or their organisations) don't organise to stop the blatant piss-taking by large companies they will lose their jobs and deserve to do so for not fighting back.
Perhaps that will confuse some right wingers on here.

You said that IT bods deserve to lose their jobs. Not only did you post that but you attached a laughing smilie. You went out of your way to attach a laughing smilie, you're a sick bastard.

Don't blame the messenger.
You forget that I was/am in IT too, so I suppose the laughing smilie was aimed at me too?
This battle was lost years ago; as the article says, its “standard industry practice” now. The time to fight was back around 2003. Back then, all complaints were dismissed as being racist or delusional. It is far too late to fight back now; move on. Remember who shafted you because I have found the old saying ‘What goes around....’ is true.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I disagree. The time is politically ripe now. In a recession politicians are acutely aware of emotive arguments about foreigners taking local jobs, which is essentially what is happening.
Can someone not organise a blog/petition/get journalists on the case?
PS I am not talking about offshoring/outsourcing. There is increasing evidence that that is economically not as good as thought anyway.
I'm talking about multi-nationals shipping in foreign workers on their own payroll.

UK are not too good at stopping foreigners coming over here and doing what they want, I blame the Vikings and Romans personally.

No me, I'm on the run.
