If you read the article the vehicle pictured is not intended for use in a patrol situation as a replacement for the crappy Snatch Landy's. It is intended for reconnaissance, rapid assault and convoy protection.

The Snatch Landy's are being replaced by the Vector Husky and Mastiff vehicles

According to the MoD they are being deployed "for general patrolling in low threat areas." but are being superceded by the new vehicle range.
