Business Analyst Contract


Business Analyst required for a 6 months contract based in Manchester to work for a high profile public sector client.

The role will focus on business analysis for Management Reporting and a single view of the customer, the candidate will be at the heart of a critical and integral element of the clients transformation programme.

The Candidate should have 4 years experience working as a BA, with knowledge or experience of data warehousing environments to include either Business Objects (any versions) or Databases (Such as Oracle or SQL Server)

Skills Should include:
Process Mapping
Document writing - Functional & Non-Functional Requirements
Capable of facilitating workshops
Can read and Write project plans
Understanding of Prince 2 Methodology
Can conduct System Testing and UAT particularly of Business Objects Reporting

The candidate needs to have a strong technical ability balanced by good business acumen, they will be an excellent written and verbal communicator.

Rates of £140-145 per 7 hr day 6 months duration.

So a very high hourly rate and a day with an extra 11 hours in it! Does it mean they have somehow slowed the Earth down to do this?

No, it is a ruse to try and get the job on the FTV schem or to bring in an ICT.

They advertise at a low rate and get no applications. They then go to the authorities with proof that there is no local with the requisit skills. Then they get permission to bring in an import at that rate.

They did that when they ousted us from BT - a guy I worked with used to tool whichis very rare. They advertised his job at a rate of 140 a day and he applied and said he would work for the rate but they refused and said he couldn't. It's all a scam to get the FTV's in
